"I am a huge horror movie buff but my favourite RGV movie is Rangeela" My favourite Ram Gopal Varma movie is Rangeela because I loved the way he showed and captured Urmila's beauty. My other RGV favourite is Kshana Kshanam with Sridevi and Venkatesh. I am a huge horror movie buff and Bhoot, Kaun and Phoonk are my favourites. Yes, I have signed a horror movie in 3D with Ram Gopal Varma. Apart from these, I've really enjoyed Delhi Belly and Not A Love Story.
"I am looking to do movies which are very different from what I've done" No matter how good looking you are, what counts is how well you perform. To me, I am very lucky to have a launch like this. It's a perfect platform for me to enter Bollywood. But I am looking to do movies which are very different from what I've done. I will be very picky in my selection of movies too.

"I'd love to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Anurag Kashyap and with RGV; I want to work again and again" I want to work with so many directors in Hindi cinema. I would love to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Anurag Kashyap and I want to work with Ram Gopal Varma again and again. Not to forget, Rajkumar Hirani.
An actress from down South… Enters Bollywood... Gives more than a dozen auditions. Finally gets picked up by a director for her debut movie to play the hero's love interest. Ok, CUT IT! Let's try again - Madhushalini comes up to Mumbai... Enters Bollywood... Gives one audition. Finally gets picked up by Ram Gopal Varma in a role that women dare not attempt - a menacing female gangster. And then it's RGV of course! The movie buff himself, who has over the years, etched out some of the most memorable characters onscreen - Shiva, Bhiku Mhatre, Chandu, Munna, Sarkar. Will Madhushalini's Naseer join the coveted list? Let's find out from the actress herself. Over to Madhu...
"My role in Department is hard-hitting and menacing" Department is my first Bollywood movie. Ram Gopal Varma had picked up a DVD of my last Tamil movie. He got impressed, called me and I gave an audition that landed me this movie. It's a very challenging role because it's a role no less to a man. It's a hard hitting role and menacing.
"When RGV gave me a briefing, I wanted to experiment with my character" I am really kicked about playing the role of a gangster called Naseer. I am kicked about it because no one in Hindi cinema has ever done a role like this, except for, maybe Seema Biswas in Bandit Queen which was rough and tough. I've never done anything like this before in the South too. When RGV gave me a briefing, I wanted to experiment with it and think like how a man would for this role.
"I love Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct" My favourite actors that left a lasting 'negative' impression (laughs) on me are in no particular order though. I like Sharon Stone's Catherine Tremel from Basic Instinct, Raghuvarun from the South, and also Prakash Raj and Paresh Rawal for their many negative portrayals.
