With the year coming to an end, the award ceremonies have started off on full swing, as weekends turn shiny amidst all the jazz and glamour. The recently held award ceremony was Stardust Awards and obviously the evening saw some A-list Bollywood celebrities sashaying down the red carpet in dazzling outfits.
The award ceremony celebrated the performance of some great artists this year and one amongst them was that of Anushka Sharma. Not surprisingly, the actress was a part of the year’s biggest blockbuster by far, Sultan in which she played the role of a wrestler and a coach and adding to that was also the success of her other release, the romantic drama Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Holding the trophy, the actress shared this picture with the directors of her film on her Instagram saying, “Alizeh & Aarfa with the directors behind the characters #grateful”
Awarding the achievements of the newbies, this time it was Disha Patani who debuted in M. S. Dhoni - The Untold Story, who walked away with the award for her performance as Dhoni’s first love interest in the biopic. She shared about her win on social media with this picture and added, “So happy that i received the best debutant award from our very own "mahi" @sushantsinghrajput it's all because of everybody's hardwork that made the film possible thank you team ms dhoni! Missed you @kiaraaliaadvani to all the fans and friends lots of loveeee.”
Yet another actress who walked away with appreciation was Sonam Kapoor. The actress’ last release Neerja touched hearts not only in India but even across the globe as he brought alive the sacrifice made by the senior flight attendant, Neerja Bhanot. Besides the many awards and praises that she received this year, this was yet another win in the commercial awards. “Thank you team bling for everything... but a big shout out to @alisha5dave you're the best manager but a better friend! Love you guys! #priyanka #piya #swati #atul #alisha #neha #shanti,” she posted on Instagram.
She even took to social media to not just give a glimpse of her rehearsals but even of her stage performance by sharing a couple of pictures. Recreating the image of Priyanka Chopra from the number ‘Tinka Tinka’, from the film Karam, Parineeti posted this on Instagram saying, “Tinka Tinka. One of her favourite songs!!! This act means so much to me. Love you mimi didi @priyankachopra . #Tribute #Stardust.”
While it is great to see colleagues and co-stars receiving accolades for their performances, the fraternity also eagerly awaits for some beautiful performances during these ceremonies. The other ‘PC’ or rather the younger PC, Parineeti Chopra paid a tribute to her sister and global icon Priyanka Chopra. From ‘Desi Girl’ to ‘Tinka Tinka’, the Ishaqzaade actress entertained the audience with her performance.
