Talking about the ceremony Bachchan said, "The lighting of the auspicious lamp by the Chief Minister and myself, a tradition before the start of any event or function. The Chief Minister told me he had come to see my shooting once, when he was contemplating politics .. he had been a fan of mine .. humbled and so honoured .."
