Nearly three decades after Kuch Kuch Hota Hai introduced audiences to Anjali, Kajol’s portrayal of the character continues to hold a special place in the hearts of fans. Known for her humour, lively personality and emotional journey, Anjali remains one of the memorable characters in Hindi cinema. Marking 28 years of the film, Kajol took to Instagram to share a new picture of herself in a red hoodie, bringing back memories of her much-loved character.
Sharing the picture, Kajol wrote, “Can magic ever be recreated? Here’s Anjali a couple of years later.” Her playful caption revisited the character’s enduring appeal, while the red hoodie and her overall look reminded fans of Anjali’s signature tomboy style. The post also offered an opportunity to look back at a film that continues to resonate with audiences years after its release.
Released in 1998, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was directed by Karan Johar and featured Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji in lead roles. The romantic drama became known for its memorable characters and emotional storyline, with Kajol’s Anjali emerging as one of its highlights.
