Releasing this week is Himesh Reshammiya's action romantic drama Teraa Surroor which also marks the debut of the Dutch-Indian model Farah Karimaee. The film directed by Shawn Arranha has opened to a decent start but owing to little to almost nil competition from this week's releases, the film may fare better in the coming days.
Reports suggest that the film has had a slow start up North with almost 10% to 15% occupancy rates. On the other hand, the film which has ample of morning shows has had a decent start in certain places like Mumbai where the occupancy rates range from 20 to 25%. However, the director of the film, Shawn recently revealed that the makers have already recovered the costs of the film through music and other rights. He adds, "The producers have already recovered the film's cost through sale of music, satellite and other rights. I am equally confident that the audience will thoroughly enjoy this edge of the seat entertainer right from the word 'go' owing to some great performances the pace of the film. I can proudly say that I am very happy with the product."
On the whole, considering that Himesh Reshammiya films generally feature good music, Teraa Surroor is no exception and it will definitely appeal to its target audience. However, taking into consideration, the current scenario, the film will have to rely on good word of mouth to entice the audience further.
