The three new releases -- KARLE PYAAR KARLE, MISS LOVELY and PARANTHE WALI GALI -- were never expected to open with a bang thanks to low-key promotions, non-inspiring music and relatively unknown cast. Expectedly, the three films got off to a sluggish start, though KARLE PYAAR KARLE was marginally better at some centres of North India.
Meanwhile, last week’s releases -- YAARIYAN and DEDH ISHQIYA -- are expected to dominate this weekend… Marathi film TIME PASS is a Blockbuster Hit and should continue its dream run… As many as four Hollywood films have opened today -- AMERICAN HUSTLE, CARRIE, THE LEGEND OF HERCULES and JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT -- and are expected to eat into the business of Hindi films, although the start at the ticket window is far from impressive.
Meanwhile, everyone is keenly awaiting the next biggie, JAI HO, next Friday.
