This week we see the release of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film JAZBAA that also features Irrfan Khan. There has been a lot of talk surrounding it with a lot of expectations being attached to the film.
Reports coming in suggest that JAZBAA has taken off to a rather average start with approximately 35% occupancy rate during morning shows. On the other hand, the Sanjay Gupta directed film does face competition from the Hollywood release THE WALK that has been receiving glowing reviews across the seas. In fact despite THE WALK featuring limited morning shows, it has garnered a 30% occupancy rate during morning.
On the whole, with mixed responses from the critics, JAZBAA despite a average start is expected to be a steady earner over the weekend. However, the film will have to rely on strong word of mouth, while the 3D marvel THE WALK is expected to grow over evening and night shows. However the other English release PAN, that features THE WOLVERINE actor Huge Jackman, that caters to mainly kids is expected to be a slow earner.
