With the IPL season that has just started major releases seems to be keeping their distance. However this week we see the release of two films namely EK PAHELI LEELA featuring Sunny Leone and DHARAM SANKAT MEIN featuring Paresh Rawal and Naseeruddin Shah. While the latter boasts of impeccable talent, EK PAHELI LEELA that has been making news thanks to its cast is expected to lead the charge.
As expected, reports from across the country suggest that EK PAHELI LEELA has opened on a rather slow note with morning show occupancy rate close to 20%. However the film has fared better than DHARAM SANKAT MEIN that features almost no morning shows. Moreover, both films will have to contend with last week's big Hollywood release FAST AND FURIOUS 7 (FF7) that has been riding strong ever since its release.
On the whole EK PAHELI LEELA that majorly caters to single screen audience is expected to do well over the weekend as compared to DHARAM SANKAT MEIN. But both films will have to rely heavily on strong word of mouth. On the other hand, FF7 that has the added advantage of an emotional connect with the death of Paul Walker, is expected to continue its run at the Indian box office.
