For the past few weeks, big ticket entertainers have been ruling the roost. And this week sees the release of the Ajay Devgn starrer DRISHYAM that has garnered rave reviews from critics. Also, releasing this week are series of Hollywood films like PIXELS, SOUTH PAW and VATICAN TAPES.
According to reports, DRISHYAM has started off on an average note with an occupancy rate of about 20 to 25%. On the other hand, BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN that is entering its third week has seen a decline in its occupancy rate. MASAAN, the critically acclaimed film that released last week too is facing a low response due to lack of screen space. On the Hollywood front, the three releases this week, namely, PIXELS, SOUTH PAW and VATICAN TAPES are fighting for screen space with only a handful shows in multiplexes.
On the whole, DRISHYAM is expected to fare much better in the evening and night shows owing to word of mouth publicity. BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN too is expected to post in decent collections. As far as the Hollywood releases are concerned, they will face stiff competition from these two big Bollywood starrers.
