This week, we see the release of the much talked about film AZHAR that is based on the life of controversial ex-Indian cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin. While the film has been much talked about, will it live up to audience expectation is the question.
Reports suggest that AZHAR which stars Emraan Hashmi, Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri has opened on a decent note with occupancy rate during morning shows being pegged at a steady 30- 35% at both single screens and multiplexes. Being a somewhat solo release, with the only competition coming from the other release BUDDHA INA TRAFFIC JAM that caters to rather niche audience, AZHAR is expected to do well at the box-office.
On the whole, AZHAR that has managed to establish a strong connect with the audience is expected to fare well over the weekend with footfalls at theatres increasing as the positive word of mouth about the film spreads.
