On October 2 last week we finally saw the release of the keenly anticipated Tiger Shroff – Hrithik Roshan starrer War. Also featuring Vaani Kapoor the action entertainer was touted as 2019’s biggest action entertainer and was expected to take off on a high note. Living up to expectations War started its box office run with a bang drawing in Rs. 53.35 cr on Day 1.

Collecting R.s 166.25 cr on its opening weekend the Tiger Shroff – Hrithik Roshan starrer has managed to become the second highest all-time opening weekend grosser. Though War saw a massive release across 4000 screens, and enjoyed a five weekend the opening weekend business of the film does not manage to surpass the collections of the Salman Khan starrer Sultan that had collected Rs. 180.36 cr. However, on the other hand the business of the film does out beat the business of other releases like, Bharat that collected Rs. 150.10 cr, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that collected Rs. 129.77 cr, Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that collected Rs. 128 cr, Thugs Of Hindostan that collected Rs. 123 cr, Sanju that collected Rs. 120.06 cr, Tiger Zinda Hai that collected Rs. 114.93 cr, Padmaavat that collected Rs. 114 cr, and Happy New Year that had collected Rs. 108.86 cr.
As of now, War continues to run to packed houses and is expected to dominate the coming week. With little to no competition and a clear run at the box office, predictions state that the business of War will cross the Rs. 200 cr mark in the next couple of days.
