The Yash Raj Films production War, directed by Siddharth Anand starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff released last week to a thunderous response from the audience. After opening with a bang, the business of the film saw immense growth over its opening weekend and the ensuing weekdays as well.

Drawing in a massive Rs. 235.35 cr, War has managed to beat the collections of the Salman Khan starrer Sultan that had collected Rs. 229.16 cr to emerge as the second highest all-time opening week grosser, coming in behind the leader Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that had collected Rs. 247 cr. Besides Sultan, the business of War has recorded better collection figures than a few other releases as well like, Tiger Zinda Hai that collected Rs. 206.04 cr, Sanju that collected Rs. 202.51 cr, Dangal that collected Rs. 197.54 cr, Dhoom 3 that collected Rs. 188.99 cr, Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 184.62 cr, PK that collected Rs. 183.09 cr, and Bharat that had collected Rs. 180.05 cr.
Currently, War still runs in theatres, with a few territories even increasing the number of shows to compensate for audience's demand. Given this, and the fact that the film faces little to no competition on its second weekend in theatres, predictions state that the business of War will yet again see a drastic increase in collections.
