The much talked about and keenly awaited release Vikram Vedha hit screens a week ago. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan the film promised to be an out and out action entertainer. Living up to expectations the film, a remake of the south film starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi has been doing decently well at the box office. Released across 5640 screens worldwide, expectations were that the business of Vikram Vedha would cross the Rs. 100 cr mark in no time.
Now, after a week long run at the box office Vikram Vedha which has managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr. mark at the worldwide box office. With this, the Hrithik Roshan – Saif Ali Khan starrer has become the seventh release of 2022 to manage this feat. In fact, Vikram Vedha now joins previous releases like Brahmastra, The Kashmir Files, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Jugjugg Jeeyo, and Laal Singh Chaddha, each of which have managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr. mark at the worldwide box office.
Going further, since Vikram Vedha still continues to run in both the domestic and overseas markets, it is highly likely that the business of the film will soon rival the Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha which had collected Rs. 129.64 cr. in fact, trade predictions state that Vikram Vedha which currently faces little competition at the box office, will see a good jump in collections over its second weekend, drawing closer to the Aamir Khan release.
