The Rohit Shetty directed Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi has been raking in the moolah since its release. Being one of the most keenly anticipated releases post the pandemic lockdown, the film carried a lot of expectations. Living up to the same, Sooryavanshi has been performing better than expected at the box office. After opening on a good note, the film saw another Rs. 26.94 cr coming in on Day 3, taking its total opening weekend collections to Rs. 77.08 cr.

Collecting Rs. 77.08 cr Sooryavanshi has managed to become Kumar’s fourth highest opening weekend grosser. Leading the list are Akshay’s previous releases Mission Mangal that collected Rs. 97.56 cr, 2.0 that had collected Rs. 97.25 cr, and Kesari that collected Rs. 78.07 cr. However, the business of Sooryavanshi does manage to surpass the actor’s other releases like Gold that collected Rs. 70.05 cr, Good Newwz that collected Rs. 65.99 cr, Singh is Blling that collected Rs. 54.44 cr, Housefull 3 that collected Rs. 53.31 cr, Brothers that collected Rs. 52.08 cr, and Toilet- Ek Prem Katha that had collected Rs. 51.45 cr.
As of now Sooryavanshi continues to run in theatres, with audience flocking to cinema halls. While the first Monday usually sees a dip in collections, the business of Sooryavanshi is expected to follow the same path but will continue to remain strong.
