The much talked about and keenly anticipated Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial Animal hit screens last week on Friday and since then the film has proved to be unstoppable. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna the film which enjoyed a high rate of advance bookings opened on a thunderous note. Following this, the business of Animal witnessed exponential growth globally crossing the Rs. 100, Rs. 200 and Rs. 300 cr. mark. At the worldwide box office Animal has been blowing past benchmark records to establish new ones.
Now, on its sixth day running, Animal which has already collected Rs. 480.96 cr. in 5 days of its release is all set to cross the Rs. 500 cr. mark at the worldwide box office. Despite being a non-holiday release, that featured an Adults Only certification, Animal has been rocking the box office window. Collecting Rs. 338.15 cr. from the domestic market and a further Rs. 142.81 cr. in the overseas markets, Animal has proved to be one of the biggest money spinners of 2023. When compared to previous releases of 2023, Animal is all set to emerge as the fourth release of 2023 to cross the Rs. 500 cr. mark at the worldwide box office. In fact, Animal will join previous releases that have crossed the Rs. 500 cr. mark like the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan which collected Rs. 1148.32 cr, Pathaan which collected Rs. 1050.3 cr, and the Sunny Deol – Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 which collected Rs. 691.08 cr. at the worldwide box office.
If that was not enough, when compared to other big-ticket releases of2023, Animal has already managed to surpass releases like the Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 which collected Rs. 462.73 cr, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani which collected Rs. 355.61 cr, The Kerala Story which collected Rs. 303.97 cr at the worldwide box office, within just 5 days of its release.
Currently, Animal is going strong at the box office with audience patronizing the film in droves. Based on these current trends, trade predictions state that the business of Animal is more than likely to see further growth over the coming days. In fact, it will come as no surprise if the business of the film manages to cross not just the Rs. 500 cr but also the Rs. 600 cr mark at the worldwide box office.
