Pati Patni Aur Woh sustained reasonably well in its third week. Though there was a drop evidenced over the weekend due to the arrival of Dabangg 3 and sustained run of Mardaani 2, the collections stayed stable during the weekdays that followed. With Christmas holiday arriving mid-week, there was a boost in numbers on Tuesday (Christmas eve) and Wednesday (Christmas) and as a result the overall total went up to Rs. 84.56 crores.
The film has managed some sort of showcasing in the fourth week as well and that would help it go past the lifetime score of Rs. 85 crores. After bringing in Rs. 95 crores with Luka Chuppi (and just about falling short of the Rs. 100 crores mark), Kartik Aaryan has now scored another good success with Pati Patni Aur Woh. The film has surpassed the Rs. 81 crores lifetime of Kalank and it has to be seen if by some luck, it manages to challenge Badla lifetime of Rs. 87.99 crores as well.
As for Ananya Panday, the film has now emerged as her bigger success of 2019 since Student of the Year 2 lifetime of Rs. 73 crores has been comfortably crossed. Her stocks have certainly gone up after the good run of Pati Patni Aur Woh and other than Khaali Peeli, she would also be seen in Shakun Batra's next with Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi. This isn't all as there is also buzz around her signing an Excel film with Saif Ali Khan where she plays his daughter.
Meanwhile, Bhumi Pednekar has already seen a major superhit in Bala behind her and post Pati Patni Aur Woh, she already has Bhoot: Part One - The Haunted Ship, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare and Durgavati planned for release in 2020. All in all, a successful team that is set for many more interesting films in time to come.
