Shah Rukh Khan has done it, and how. He took a break for a couple of years after Zero, then decided to pick Pathaan, shot for it over a period of time, kept in touch with his audiences and fan base and then hit it big from the very day of the release of the action thriller. Result? The film continues to go super strong even three weeks after its release and now has entered the Rs. 500 Crore Club as well.
This was made possible on Wednesday when Rs. 3.60 crores more came in that pushed the total to Rs. 502.45 crores. This is an absolutely unimaginable feat, the stuff that dreams are made of, and Shah Rukh Khan has indeed sold a few million dreams already if one accounts for the number of people who have watched the film. More than anything else, the Siddharth Anand directed biggie has turned out to be a solid entertainer, hence ensuring that that YRF spy universe franchise continues to grow super strong.
One has to give it to John Abraham and Deepika Padukone too for making Pathaan what it eventually turned out to be. With lesser actors, the film wouldn’t have been what it is and their contribution to making this a Rs. 500 Crore Club is indeed worth the price in gold. Their presence indeed made Pathaan special and rest assured, they would be returning too when the next instalment of the film or another franchise offering comes in.
