KGF – Chapter 2 [Hindi] Day 3 Box Office: Yash starrer earns Rs. 42.90 cr on Saturday; is bigger than Prabhas’ Baahubali: The Conclusion, Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju and Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai, Race 3 and Sultan :Bollywood Box Office

Some truly humongous records are being smashed, and how. Even though a big Sunday is still on the records, a record Thursday opening means that Yash starrer KGF - Chapter 2 [Hindi] is on a very solid ground and is now defeating some of the biggest of the biggest Bollywood releases of all times. If the first three day numbers of the Yash starrer are any indication, it has gone past the best weekends ever scored by as many as three Salman Khan and one Prabhas and Ranbir Kapoor film each, all of which are in the Top-5. These are Baahubali: The Conclusion, Sanju, Tiger Zinda Hai, Race 3 and Sultan. Let's take a look.

On Saturday, KGF - Chapter 2 [Hindi] collected Rs. 42.90 crores at the box office, which is an excellent number again. As a result, the first three day total of the film stands at Rs. 143.64 crores. With this, it is now officially the best ever when it comes to the first three day collections ever, including Baahubali: The Conclusion, which collected Rs. 128 crores.

As for core Bollywood releases, the record was held by Sanju which had collected Rs. 120.06 crores in its opening weekend. That record has been smashed. In the process, several Salman Khan winners have also been left behind.

Salman Khan pretty much enjoyed a monopoly with Christmas release Tiger Zinda Hai [Rs. 114.93 crores] and two Eid releases Race 3 [Rs. 106.47 crores] and Sultan [Rs. 105.53 crores]. Now these films are not even close to KGF - Chapter 2 [Hindi] which still has a huge Sunday to come.

Record for the best first week has been scored by Baahubali: The Conclusion which collected Rs. 247 crores and now it has to be seen whether KGF - Chapter 2 [Hindi] ends up defeating that as well.
