After the fourth weekend, Kabir Singh currently stands at Rs. 259.94 crores. This was after Sunday numbers turned out to be big again at Rs. 4.05 crores. The film stays on to be fantabulous and while it is a given that Rs. 265 crores would be crossed before the close of the current week, how much further does it go would be pretty interesting to note. Shahid Kapoor now has a record breaking film to his name and while everyone would expect something as big as this from him film after film, one has to admit that something like this is a rare phenomenon.
It isn't really a rare phenomenon though for Ayushmann Khurranna whose Article 15 is now another success in quick succession. The actor has been delivering hits one after another and Article 15 is his fifth success in a row after Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Andhadhun and Badhai Ho.
The film collected Rs. 2.15 crores more on Sunday which has brought the total to Rs. 57.93 crores. Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha has all the reasons to rejoice as the film is now his second biggest success story after Ra.One. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer was in an altogether different stage and setting, and films like Article 15 and Mulk show him in an absolutely different light.
