Sunny Deol's much spoken-about action entertainer, Gadar 2, has made its entry into the Rs. 400 crore club on its 12th day as the Anil Sharma directorial has collected Rs. 12.50 to 13 crores on the 2nd Tuesday taking total collections to Rs. 401.25 crores. The film is running a one-horse race at the India Box Office and is on track to surpass Pathaan and emerge as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
After collecting Rs. 13.50 crores on 2nd Monday, Gadar 2 showed a stronghold in collections on 2nd Tuesday with a nominal drop to Rs. 12.75 crore. The movie is headed towards a 2nd-week collection of Rs. 140 crores, with a two-week total in the range of Rs. 425 crore. There will be competition for Gadar 2 in its third week, but the film is set and will continue to do business until the release of Jawan.
With Gadar 2, Sunny Deol has entered the Rs 400 crore club at the box office. He has become the 2nd star after Shah Rukh Khan to hit Rs. 400 crore at the India Box Office. Gadar 2 is the 2nd highest-grossing original Hindi film of all time after Pathaan. The film has already surpassed the lifetime collections of Dangal, Tiger Zinda Hai, PK, and Sanju.
Sunny Deol is also likely also become the 2nd actor after SRK to enter the Rs. 500 crore club in the long run and history will remember Sunny to be among the few to have delivered a blockbuster in 4 different decades. If we take dubbed films into account, Gadar 2 is at present the fourth biggest grosser after Pathaan, Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, and K.G.F 2 and will be the third biggest by the end of 2nd week.
