Dhurandhar The Revenge scores massive $56.6M global opening weekend, second only to Project Hail Mary

Dhurandhar The Revenge has made an emphatic statement at the worldwide box office. Per Comscore's official worldwide weekend estimates for the frame ending March 22, 2026, the film debuted with a $56.64 million worldwide gross, securing the #2 position on the global chart, a remarkable achievement for an Indian production competing against major Hollywood tentpoles.

Dhurandhar The Revenge scores massive $56.6M global opening weekend, second only to Project Hail Mary

The most striking aspect of Dhurandhar The Revenge's debut is just how lopsided it skews international. Of its $56.64 million global weekend, $46.6 million roughly 82% came from international markets, spanning 19 territories. That kind of international dominance is extraordinary for any film, let alone one competing in a frame topped by Project Hail Mary's once-in-a-generation $140.98 million worldwide opening.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge didn't just open well in isolation it outgrossed every major Hollywood title on the chart except Project Hail Mary. It more than tripled the weekend gross of Hoppers ($52.2M globally, in its third weekend), beat Reminders of Him ($15.1M) by a factor of nearly four, and dwarfed long-running titles like Scream 7 ($10.5M) and GOAT ($7M). Even on the domestic front, its $10.04 million was enough to rank comfortably on the North American chart.

The Comscore report reveals that Dhurandhar: The Revenge's cumulative worldwide gross already stands at $81.04 million meaningfully ahead of the $56.64 million weekend figure alone. That gap of roughly $24.4 million points to significant pre-weekend earnings, whether from Thursday previews, early access screenings, or a mid-week launch in certain markets. This suggests audience demand was intense well before the traditional Friday-to-Sunday frame even began.

Similarly, on the international side, the cumulative of $67.02 million versus a weekend of $46.6 million reflects $20.42 million earned prior to the weekend, underlining how aggressively the film opened in its key markets. Domestically, the $14.02 million cumulative against a $10.04 million weekend points to $3.98 million in pre-weekend domestic earnings.

With $81 million in the bank worldwide through just its opening frame, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has established itself as one of the most significant global box office events of 2026 so far. The question heading into its second weekend is whether it can hold and whether its 19-territory international footprint will expand. For now, the numbers speak clearly: this is a genuine worldwide hit.
