Dhurandhar The Revenge is dealing only in half centuries and centuries currently. We saw more than Rs. 100 crores coming in on Saturday and Sunday and now the weekdays have been tremendous as well with Monday bringing in Rs. 60 crores and now even Tuesday being extraordinary as it earned Rs. 54 crores in the day.
This has never ever happened before and yet again goes on to show the kind of capacity that’s available at theatres to be explored and the appetite that India audiences have when it comes to spending in theatres. As simple as that, a film needs to be worth it and as can be seen for last so many months, big bucks are primarily coming in for event films that are made for the big screen and are indeed special. Yes, there is an occasional ‘regular’ film that comes and scores as we but then there is a limit of Rs. 100-200 crores to it. However, if one has to score Rs. 300 crores or more, then it needs to have those true big screen ingredients.
No wonder, this Ranveer Singh starrer is now going places with Rs. 557 crores in its kitty already and that too when the first seven days aren’t through either. That would happen today and by that time the Aditya Dhar film would have comfortably entered the Rs. 600 Crore Club. That’s just unthinkable and one now waits to see how fast does Dhurandhar The Revenge invent the Rs. 1000 Crore Club now.
