Toilet – Ek Prem Katha directed by Shree Narayan Singh and starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar released in China a little under two weeks ago. Since then the film which was retitled as Toilet Hero for the Chinese market has been doing well at the China box office. However, over the past few days the business of Toilet Hero has been witnessing a slump in collections.
In fact, after drawing in Rs. 0.68 cr on Day 12, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha has managed to draw in another USD 0.09 million [Rs. 0.61 cr] on Day 13 at the China box office. But despite this drop in business Toilet Hero still manages to retain a spot on the daily highest grossers list at the China box office coming in at number 6. In fact, currently the total collections of Toilet Hero at the China box office are pegged at USD 14.26 million [Rs. 97.23 cr] a stone’s throw away from the coveted Rs. 100 cr mark.
As of now, going by trends the business of Toilet – Ek Prem Katha has all but reached the end of its box office run in the Chinese market. But given the fact that the weekend is near expectations are that the business of the film will likely see a jump in collections pushing it past the Rs. 100 cr mark.
