After bringing in Rs. 2.87 crore on Friday, it was always on the cards that Tumhari Sulu would grow well on Saturday. This is what exactly happened as the film collected Rs. 4.61 crore on its second day. With this the film's total now stands at Rs. 7.48 crore and it is a given that over 13 crore would definitely be gathered by the Suresh Triveni before the weekend comes to a close.
The film is on course to be a decent success at the Box Office since the cost of production is quite low [Rs. 17 crore, all inclusive]. With various ancillary rights already been sold, theatrically the film doesn't need much to break even.
Vidya Balan's last release Begum Jaan had collected Rs. 11.48 crore in its opening weekend and then wrapped up at Rs. 20.75 crore lifetime. Given the kind of word of mouth that Tumhari Sulu is enjoying, Vidya Balan would certainly be expecting that a total in excess of Rs. 20.75 crore is gathered by her film in its opening week itself.
