After a big Diwali holiday, there was just partial holiday in some parts of the country. In any case, collections do see a fall on this day and hence it was not surprising when the same happened with Ram Setu and Thank God as well. The kind of numbers that came for both the films on Wednesday were on the expected lines and there would be further drop in numbers today as well, though not to the same magnitude as yesterday since things should relatively stabilize now.
Ram Setu had brought in Rs. 15.25 crores on its opening day and the day after it has collected Rs. 11.40 crores. A double-digit score is always welcome, though somewhere around Rs. 12-13 crores would have had a better ring to it. Right now, the collections are too close to the Rs. 10 crores mark and for the double-digit journey to continue for the film, the drop now has to be minimal. So far, the Akshay Kumar starrer has collected Rs. 26.60 crores and the first three day numbers should be in the vicinity of Rs. 35 crores before the regular weekend begins.
On the other hand Thank God has collected Rs. 14.10 crores so far. The film had taken an opening of Rs. 8.10 crores when at the bare minimum a double digit score was expected from the Indra Kumar directed film. Still, it was decent enough at least and on Wednesday one expected the numbers to be in the upwards of Rs. 6 crores as that signifies a better hold. Thankfully, Rs. 6 crores came in for the film and now there should be Rs. 5-5.50 crores number that the Ajay Devgn-Sidharth Malhotra starrer should collect on Thursday.
