The third instalment in the Race franchise titled Race 3 hit screens a week ago. Directed by Remo D'Souza starring Salman Khan, the film opened on a decent note. But over its opening weekend the business of the film saw a big jump in number managing to make it past the Rs. 100 cr mark in just three days.
Now at the close of its first week in theatres, we take a look at the collections of Race 3 while comparing the same to Salman Khan’s previous releases. Despite being one of the most awaited releases of the year, Race 3 managed to draw in Rs. 144.51 cr in its first week, making it Salman Khan’s sixth highest opening week grosser. In fact, the business of Race 3, despite the Eid release does not manage to surpass Salman’s previous releases like Tiger Zinda Hai that collected Rs. 206.04 cr, Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 184.62 cr, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that collected Rs. 172.82 cr, Kick that collected Rs. 164.09 cr, and Ek Tha Tiger that collected Rs. 154.21 cr.
However, the collections of Race 3 do manage to out beat the actor’s other releases like Bodyguard that collected Rs. 115 cr, Tubelight that collected Rs. 106.86 cr, Dabangg 2 that collected Rs. 106.78 cr, Jai Ho that collected Rs. 88.78 cr, and Dabangg that collected Rs. 81 cr.
