More than 100 days after the release of Dhurandhar, finally there is a film arriving which will again have a fantastic box office opening, and that film is none other than the second part, Dhurandhar The Revenge. This goes on to show how there has been an utmost sever draught of films opening even reasonably well at the box office where barring Border 2, none has managed to take even a semi-decent start.
There has been huge goodwill surrounding this Aditya Dhar magnum opus saga and that can well be seen from the fact that even though a couple of days still remain for the arrival of this biggie, advance booking has been ultra brisk. So much so that theatres are now facing capacity issues and even those which are located on remote areas outside the core metropolis are now seeing plans being put together for the 5 PM arrival on Wednesday evening.
As of now, a start of Rs. 35 crores is pretty much done and dusted for the Ranveer Singh led action drama. By the time the film is ready to arrive, over 5 lakh tickets would already have been sold. This is the rarest of the rare pre-release number and we are taking about just 5 PM - 11:55 PM window of release here, when otherwise the films typically start their first screening around 9 AM mark. Dhurandhar The Revenge is a 4-hour saga and still night shows are getting booked out as well. Rs. 40 crores is a possibility too for this film and spot booking for whatever few seats are now left available could well be the deciding factor.
