Mubarakan is continuing to collect though the numbers are not in lines with the merits of the film. The Anees Bazmee directed film should have been ideally hitting the roof ever since its release but call it simply unfortunate that the collections haven't really been making much of a dent at the Box Office.
This was evidenced on Tuesday when the numbers stood at Rs. 3.45 crore. These may seem okay in context of Rs. 5.16 crore Friday. However that is not much of a consolation since a biggie like this with Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor leading the show deserves much better. More so since the film is truly hilarious and actually is good enough offering for those who had been hunting for good entertainment since long.
This is the reason why it is all the more surprising that the overall collections have reached Rs. 29.91 crore in five days when ideally these numbers should have come in over the weekend itself. The good part about the film is that despite a biggie like Jab Harry Met Sejal arriving this Friday, multiplexes are retaining a considerable amount of shows of Mubarakan as well. That should ensure that family audiences continue to step in during the second weekend as well as the Rakhi holiday on Monday.
