Television’s funny man Kapil Sharma’s second Bollywood outing Firangi releases today within the domestic market. However, overseas the film hit screens a day earlier. Helmed by debutant director Rajiev Dhingra the film seems to have taken off on a good note in the overseas market of UAE/GCC.
In fact, reports state that Firangi, that also features Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill in addition to Kapil Sharma has managed to draw in approximately AED 325,000 [Rs. 57.13 lakhs] on its opening day. Release across 62 screens in this market, though the collections of the film do not rival big ticket Bollywood releases it is expected to do well over the weekend.
