The Arjun Kapoor – Shraddha Kapoor starrer Half Girlfriend that was directed by Mohit Suri released a week back. After opening on a good note the film which is an adaptation of the Chetan Bhagat novel by the same name has been enjoying a good run at the box office.
In this special report we take a look at the opening week collections of Half Girlfriend while comparing the same to previously released films that have been produced under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures. Collecting Rs. 49.19 cr, Half Girlfriend ranks as the production house’s third highest opening week grosser. Though unable to surpass the opening week collections of previous releases like Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai that collected Rs. 53 cr, and The Dirty Picture that collected Rs. 52.50 cr, the film does manage to out beat other releases like Udta Punjab that collected Rs. 48.5 cr, Shootout At Wadala that collected Rs. 46 cr, Ragini MMS 2 that collected Rs. 39.38 cr, and Main Tera Hero that collected Rs. 38.42 cr.
However, with the film continuing to run in theatres, though now at a much diminished rate, what’s left to be seen ins whether Half Girlfriend manages to surpass the overall collections other releases under the Balaji banner.
