Half Girlfriend starring Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor and directed by Mohit Suri hit screens a week ago. The film which is an adaptation of the Chetan Bhagat novel opened on a good note with the audience in most cities developing a rapport with Arjun Kapoor character.

Interestingly despite the hype and promotion surrounding the film, Half Girlfriend that raked in Rs. 49.19 cr ranks as Shraddha Kapoor’s fourth highest opening week grosser. While Shraddha’s previous releases like Ekk Villain that collected Rs. 77.20 cr, ABCD – Any Body Can Dance 2 that collected Rs. 71.78 cr and Baaghi that collected Rs. 59.72 cr occupy the first three slots respectively, Half Girlfriend does manage to fare better than her other releases like Haider that collected Rs. 41 cr, Aashiqui 2 that collected Rs. 39 cr and Ok Jaanu that collected Rs. 19 cr.
