This is pretty much a first. Within two years of releasing [July 2015] and turning out to be a Blockbuster, Baahubali [Hindi] is re-releasing this Friday. The film is arriving without much of an active promotion; however it is the brand value of Baahubali coupled with the fact that the sequel is releasing after three weeks [28th April] that has allowed good platform already for the SS Rajamouli directed affair. Since the sequel is much anticipated, the director and Karan Johar have made a good decision to bring back the first part so that audiences can warm up to the story all over again and gear up for The Conclusion.
On its release, Baahubali [Hindi] had taken an opening day of Rs. 5.15 crore. This was the biggest ever for a dubbed film in India. Now that it is releasing all over again, one expects a good outing at the Box Office. The film should open around the 3 crore mark and that would be a good start. As a matter of fact, the film should take the best start ever for a re-release since as a brand, Baahubali has only grown leaps and bounds during last couple of years.
The film has three open weeks ahead of it before Baahubali - The Conclusion arrives and that should ensure a good haul. For the month of April, it is going to be the Prabhas, Rana Dahhubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj starrer that should reign supreme week after week.
