Avatar: The Way of Water is heading for an excellent first week and the way it’s going currently, there are good chances that the lifetime collections of Bollywood’s big blockbuster of 2022 Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (186 crores) would be surpassed in one week flat.
So far, the film has already collected Rs 162 crores* and that too in just five days. This is commendable since 2022 has struggled to put big numbers on the board and while the change has started coming in with Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva, Kantara and Drishyam 2, now even Hollywood has joined the party and collecting huge numbers at a rapid pace as well. Last few months have been good for the theatrical business and one just hopes that the good times continue with Cirkus.
Meanwhile, Avatar: The Way of Water is maintaining good collections in the double digits, as seen in Tuesday collections of Rs 16 crores*. At least Rs 25 crores more will come in between today and tomorrow and that would ensure that the first week would close in Rs185-190 crores range, which would be simply excellent.
