Yesterday, we compared the domestic numbers of Chennai Express and noted the BO records that the film broke in India in its Opening Weekend. In today's special BO Report Card, we have collected the international BO Opening Weekend numbers of Chennai Express in key markets.
In US and Canada, the film opened huge collecting $ 2,416,513. With this, Chennai Express has broken the highest record previously held by 3 Idiots.
In the UK too, Chennai Express broke the previous record of Ek Tha Tiger by collecting £ 934,118.
Ranbir Kapoor surprised one and all recently by breaking all the previous records of the Khans in the UAE with his film Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani earlier this year. However, Chennai Express surpassed that record by a huge margin and collected AED 7,730,000.
At the same time, it wasn't all the territories that Chennai Express managed to capture in the overseas.
In Australia, it is still Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots which stands strong with the collection of A$ 398,595 on the Opening Weekend.
On the other hand, Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger continues to roar in New Zealand and Fiji with weekend collections of NZ$ 132,613 and FJD 52,795 respectively.
