The Kartik Aaryan – Kiarad Advani starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was released two weeks ago. Directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani the film took off on a good note. Following this, the business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 crossed Rs. 50 cr mark over its opening weekend, and later managing to make it across the Rs. 100 cr mark as well. Now in its second week running, the business of the film has continued to remain more or less stable, with collections seeing a constant flow.
In this box office report, we look at the second-week collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 while comparing the same to previous releases of 2022. Collecting Rs. 49.70 cr in its second week Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has emerged as the fourth-highest second week grosser, just behind previous releases like The Kashmir Files which collected Rs. 110.03 cr, KGF – Chapter 2 which collected Rs. 80.18 cr, and RRR which collected Rs. 76 cr.
Interestingly, the Kartik Aaryan – Kiara Advani starrer also ranks as the second-highest second week grosser among Hindi-only Bollywood releases. If that was not enough, the business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has managed to surpass previous releases like Gangubai Kathiawadi which collected Rs. 36.33 cr, Runway 34 which collected Rs. 7 cr, Badhaai Do which collected Rs. 6.74 cr, Jhund which collected Rs. 4 cr, and Attack – Part 1 which had collected Rs. 1.95 cr.
As of now, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 continues to run in theatres, with trade predicting a few more crores being added to its total. However, the business of the film is certain to see a drop in collections over its third weekend with three new releases viz. Samrat Prithviraj, Major, and Vikram – Hitlist hitting screens. However, despite this trade remains optimistic claiming that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which has collected Rs. 141.75 cr, could close the gap to the Rs. 150 cr mark by the end of its third weekend running.
