Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya has received a slow response in the advance booking counters across the country. As of Thursday evening, the movie has sold around 27,000 tickets at the three national chains - PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis - which is exactly half of what Varun’s last release, Jug Jugg Jeeyo had in the same chain of cinemas.
The film had a slow pace since the advances opened and the trends indicate a start under Rs. 6 crores for Bhediya and all the hopes will be now on how it delivers on the content front and the walk-in footfalls. The advance in multiplexes aside, Bhediya has stayed low even in the mass belts and all the hope is now on the film to get some momentum in spot bookings. If the film delivers on the content front, the jump in the biz will be visible from the night shows tomorrow.
The all-India advance for opening day on the nett collection front is around Rs. 1.50 crores and it’s only the on-day booking that will determine the final fate of the film.
