The Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi that released a while back has been doing rather well at the box office. Being the first big ticket Bollywood entertainer to hit screens post the second lockdown all eyes were on the business of the film. Living up to expectations Sooryavanshi that opened with a bang continued to see collections soar well into its second week in theatres.
Interestingly, the business of the film at the worldwide box office as well witnessed a similar trend, managing to rake in Rs. 255.11 cr. With this the Akshay Kumar starrer had managed to surpass the collections of the previously released Salman Khan starrer Bodyguard that had collected Rs. 252.99 cr. and the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan that had collected Rs. 235.66 cr. as well.
Apart from Bodyguard and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, the Rohit Shetty directed film; Sooryavanshi has also managed to outperform other releases like Baaghi 2 that collected Rs. 254.33 cr., Dabangg 2 that collected Rs. 253.54 cr.
But with Sooryavanshi still holding strong in both the domestic and overseas markets expectations are that the business of the film will continue to grow. In fact, it will come as no surprise if the business of Sooryavanshi surpasses the collections of the Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 that had collected Rs. 271.99 cr. in the coming days.
