Pathetic film where cliche's galore. The fact that Salman can't act is consolidated again. Several dialogues are really stupid, especially the one where Katrina yells at Salman. Even AR doesn't fully deliver this time. Part of the blame should also fall on the lyricist. I especially hated the part where Salman introduces himself with his usual irritating style while Beethoven's symphony playing in the background. What an insult to the maestro! Zayed Khan is a total non actor and it would be better for him to take up modeling. Katrina is the silly, plastic beauty as always. I feel pity for Anil Kapoor, he deserves better movies!

This movie would not evan work in the 90s its that bad, subash ghai still lives in the 80/90s as the film is so out of date and it is pathetic. The audeince i was with was walking out half way through the movie it was that bad guys. A movie thats evan worse then yaadien about a family thats based on 3 brothers who are fighting. Katrina kaif can not act to save her life and her along with salman khan and zayed khan ham through-out the whole movie. Katrina Kaif does not evan look nice in the movie she has a dirty spot on her cheek that makes me want to puke out.

The whole movie is based one 3 brothers who do not get along, at the end they all patch up, salman khan overacts to his fullest ability, he looks overweight and bloated and his face is showing old age so badly he looks like a 50 plus year old. Katrina looks like his ugly daughter in the movie she is sidelined in this movie. I loved the songs in the album for this movie but after watching it on screen it just puts me to sleep. Zayed Khan still does not know how to deilever a line properly he sounds too retarded and he just seems out of place.

Anil Kapoor is one performance worth mentioning he steals the show by a mile stone and a half! To anyone who says salman khan stole the show will need to wake up and stop being blind and biased because name me one scene which he out performed Anil kapoor? NONE! Anil kapoor was shinning in yuuvraaj i just wished he would sign better films

Subash ghai was once known as the showman but his directing has gone down the drain and he should stick to producing now because he can get a good story in no more his ideas have run out and his movies only would work in an era. Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Evan Ram gopal varma have changed there thinking in time for film making but subash ghai is still stuck in a rut where he thinks "if it would work then then..then it would work now"..very wrong the man needs to find a script that is not cheesy and he claims this is his best work till date...i am sorry subash if this is your best work till date...then i don’t ever want to see any of you future movies...

Disapointing from start to finish!

The showman REST IN PEACE.....

I am highly disappointed with Subhash Ghai’s Yuvraj. I am checking my memory log to see if this is the worst film I have seen in 2008. However, I can confirm without doubt that this is the worst Subhash Ghai film I have watched ever.

3 brothers of Yuvraj family, Gyanesh (Anil Kapoor), Devan (Salman Khan) & Danny (Zayed Khan) are not good one another. Gyanesh is still like a child nurturing his music love. He is considered as mentally unfit. Devan is all the way cursing his billionaire father for leaving him to poverty but he make everybody else’s life miserable around him. Devan have a reason where he is after beautiful Anuskha (Katrina Kaif) and her father (Boman Irani) is all against gaving his daughter’s hand to Devan. Danny is living a prince’s life, banking on his fathers money. One day the father is dead and left a will and what is in the will and how they live the will is to be seen on screen.

Script and characterisation is the worst part of the film which being the essance of any film pulled down all merrits of the other departments. Weak characters without having a face or reason swith their emotions and thoughts in a flash leaving the audience to utter astonishment – it is a pity to spare a vital department of film making to complete ignorance. The shots too look more part of drama than a scene from a movie. Unless Subhash Ghai was trying to do something real for the sake of it, I could not find any justice to such a pathetic show from the veteran.

Katrina Kaif and Boman Irani are the only two people who don’t got affected by the influence of bad characterisation and weak script and these two are good. Salman Khan tried hard to give some of fine performance, still fall way short of target. Even the showman of any stage, Anil Kapoor had to struggle most of the film but only by end he managed to show his presence felt. Zayed Khan, there is absolutely nothing for him in this film.

Music of AR Rahman was quite different once again and beautiful. Except one or two tracks, all of those tracks were impressive with powerful use of instruments and best selection of voices. Choreography was all colourful and was experimental in nature. However, it failed to create the mood or link for the film. It stay separate from the film, except the climax song. Beautiful lighting and sets added visual impact. Cinematography is very good. Brilliant.

Overall, the movie worth a miss unless you want to seeonly those songs on big screen. ( For Salman Khan fans, you may wait for the film to finish and don’t miss the party song after that, he is better there.)

Its really so bad that i was looking forward to this movie, with bad promos and that awful ANTI FAMILY MAN line i really did not know what subash ghai was thinking putting out such awful promos. I thought lets not judge a book by its cover and guess what i should have. You think the promos are bad? Wait till you see the real thing, its sure tourture to the brain. The movie is basically a musical that fails to pick up and entertain. With awful acting and a half baked script Yuvvraaj suffers the death of a great showman in subash ghai. I have no clue if Ghai can take any more flops. This is the last drop in the overfilling glass of flops for him. Yaadein was down right awful, this is downright bath breaking "Pathetic". Firstly no brothers can hate each other to the value of what subash ghai has painted on screen and go back to happy happy familys at the end. Its very unrealistic and some of the family values in this movie is down right over the top. Sooraj Bharjatiya would get a gun and blow his head out if he ever sees this movie. The movie trys to be rich and splendid but it falls flat on its feet. There is not one good thing to say about this awful movie that is called Yuvraaj. If you want to know how to distory your brothers life then got watch this movie.

Subash Ghai, Just Stop now..Okay? Just stop..you have proved your old fashioned and your movies just work in the old days. You have not yet changed your thinking at all. You are just like an old man that needs to be taught by a young kid how the new times have changed you still live in the 90s today and yet you have not changed one bit. You think that movies today and making a film today has not changed one bit. Roll with the time because you are still Stuck at "123 RAM-LAKHAN street". Go get a pen, a note pad...take a holiday and look around and open your eyes there are many storys to write about like how the world is really like today..Not everything has to be about brothers fighting all the time! do you enjoy watching brothers fight on screen all the time? Go back to Khalnayak which was a fine example of how you should make your films, but do something more diffrent a new story. But i have given up with you. You are just a fat man who can not accept that life has moved on and so should your movie style. Look At Sooraj for Vivah same theme but he moderned it with the new prem being moden and not everything always being happy. You can go with your theme but make it for the new times. Which clearly you did not do for Yuvvraaj.
