Race
Race is interesting to watch because of the directer duo Abas-Mustan and the starcast, Saif, Bipasha, Katrina, Akshay, Anil and Sameera. Race is a triller as all of Abas-Mustan films. In the past, I love most of Abas-Mustan Film likes: Bazigar, Ajanabee, Humraaz, Aitraaz. Their last offering, Naquab was so-so.
Race is the story of two brother: Saif and Akshay. And they are step-brothers and didn't like each others. The entry of Bipasha, Saif love interest, super model. Akshay is a alchoolic who likes Bipasha. But "Everything is planned". Akshay approched for Bipasha. The battle brothers are really nice. Katrina is Saif secetry who loves Saif.
But Everything is betrayed. No one here is for emotion. They are for the insurance money.
The story is very good, as the local of south Africa. The music by Pritam is good to above good but not such a great like Jab We Met. Zaraa Zaraa Touch Me, Peheli Nazar deserves full marks with other tracks are k. Careography in Zaraa Zaraa is excellent.
The story is great but its let down by its twist and turn. The twist and turns are so much that you feels complicating while watching the seconds half. This is in-terms less then the trillers like Bazigar or Ajanabee. Ajanabee was better.
Action scenes are very very good. That's why film is not just an average fair.
Saif Ali Khan have not much to do. He is ok in his role. The showstealer is Akshay Khanna who impress in this negative role. Sameera Reddy got funny scenes. Anil Kapoor is ok and funny at places too. Bipasha loses her good scenes because of twist and turn She have nothiong to do. Katrina is very effective and seductive. She's excellent in her role.
On the whole, Race should work but the so much twist and turn falls the films down. Its a decent fair, its worth to watch this stylish film with some actions.
