This is a good thorough entertainer.well sometimes we think that to much of masala stuff becomes unacceptable.but in case of oso it definately is acceptable. Farah Khan has again showed with this film like the previous one that she can handle so many happennings with ease and grace. it has dances it has emotions it has drama and definately mystery.i think that many critics would just rightoff this movie straight away but one has to say that had sharukh kept on doing those serious reality and social issue based movies than he would never have become a huge star.so what we have found out that sometimes we most enjoy films which defines the word drama or film for that matter.

A well composed film, creativity shines all the way through. The movie is catering to, what seems like, a broad range of target audiences: the locals, the internationals and those who may wish to study it professionally. Exceptional performances by Arjun Rampal and Deepika Padukone. Sharukh's, somewhat lesser intense, baby cute act (in the first hour) makes room for the entire cast to show case its real potential in this sufficient and archaic simulacrum (of the 70s). 2 Thumbs up for Deepika Padukone. Makes the sets and dresses look almost, hmm... majestic, she has a princess-like charm. Looking forward to seeing her rise to to the highest pinnacle of popularity, hope they don't give her crappy roles. I' ll give this movie best rating because I did not expect the kind of execution they have managed to pull off (considering the unique concept which I saw them pitch in the promos). They did it well though... a sincere well done to the "Om Shanti Om" team.

totally masala. worth watching once.any other actor then srk could not have taken this movie to where it is.even though i personally dont like srk but i can say for sure that only srk made this movie work. 

OSO was a dumb movie, but there were some funny moments, and the songs were nice, although my kids…  

OSO was a dumb movie, but there were some funny moments, and the songs were nice, although my kids thought SRK looked gross in the Dard-e-Disco song, lolsss! Deepika was pretty decent in her acting, and Arjun Rampal and Kiron Kher were great, but SRK... boring! His style of acting really irritates me now. And for this movie Taran gives a great review, but for Aaja Nachle a disappointing one?? It's obvious he has no taste, or it's money talking. Bollywood is so disappointing lately... except for a few good movies here and there (mostly the smaller budget movies), it's producing mostly trash, especially the ones that are being so hyped! I hope next year will be better...

The film is inspired from Bollywood movies from 70’s and 80’s. In other words, you can also say that it is old masala in new format. I think that people will enjoy the movie a lot, but for me it was very average. The makers have been too loyal to bollywood concept from 70’s and 80’s, and that is too much. For instance, there are missing various logical explanations in the script and the story/climax is predictable. The makers could have experimented and combined with latest scripting techniques and thereby increased the movie quality. A number of the jokes are based on bollywood industry, i.e. persons/actors, movies, clichés, music and inside jokes. The fresh humor is a major advantage of the movie. The cool image of Shahrukh Khan in the second half was too cool and sometimes hard to consume. The music was just average.

Without a question, ″Om Shanti Om″ is the perfect movie for the perfect time. It is what most of audience need to watch and enjoy lately. Farah khan as a director of this movie did a great job in there, she realized the equation of a successful movie that contains two important parts, entertainment and meaning, and of course shahrukh khan as a leader actor in the movie helped a lot to make it real. ″Om Shanti Om″ is a story of a young fresh actor called ″Om″ (Shahrukh Khan) who always dreamed of becoming a superstar in his career and play the hero roles in bollywood movies, he was a good looking, down to earth, very romantic and dreamy man. ″Shanti″ (Deepika Padukone) was a superstar actress, a beautiful, ambitious nice person who never met Om on her life. The story began in 70’s, Om and Shanti were both young, they had a lot of dreams to fulfill and both were in love. Om loved Shanti without really knowing her or meeting her, he was crazy about her, and she was crazy about someone else called ″Mukesh″ (Arjun Rampal).they were secretly married, and he was the one who burned her to death and accidentally took Om’ s life. The end? No ″Om Prakash Makhija″ reborned in someone else body and become the superstar of his age ″Om kapoor″, the famous celebrity that once ″Om Prakash Makhija″ dreamed of. Farah khan did the best she can to give the audience the perfect movie, Vishal and Shekhar made a fantastic music, the picture was good, the sets and the decoration. Shahrukh khan looked sexy and young in the whole movie, especially in 'Dard-E-Disco' a track that I must stop by and say ‘wow’, it is a hit, a combination of great lyrics, great music and great performance of Shahrukh khan on the set. It s really different and anyone will enjoy listening and watching it. There were four sets for that song, fire set, air, earth and water. Besides this track the movie contains six other tracks.' Ajab si', 'Dhoom Taana', 'Main Agar Kahoon', 'Jag Soona Soona Lage', 'Deewangi Deewangi' in which too many bollywood superstars sing and dance with Sharukh khan, Farah khan did bring many bollywood celebrities to do the special appearances in her movie and this is something special about that film. 'Dastaan-E-Om Shanti Om' is the last track to list, and it is what I like to call “the telling story song” which tells the story of ″Om″, ″Shanti″ and her husband ″Mukesh″. This movie a balance between form and meaning, in other words, it is not just entertainment, dance, track, sound and light. It is also a movie that has a meaning, and that teach us so many things like dreams can be true. If I might say, this movie inspired me a lot it did give me a push I needed all the time to know what I want and go for it. The love story in that movie is full of romance, ambition, dreams and also betrayal, death and failure.″Om″ wanted love in his life and career, ″Shanti″ wanted the love. He lost the love of his life and somehow managed to realize his dream of becoming a superstar, and she lost her life and betrayed by the one she loved. He gets a second chance to be what he dreamed of and revenge for his lover, and she gets a second chance to see him and revenge for herself. ″Om Shanti Om″ is a movie that tells a story of so many years, from the 70’s to nowadays, and Farah khan has been so clever and creative to handle a job that inquires hard work and creativity. She managed to show us two periods of time, and make us live the story from the beginning to the end. As a closure to what I have said, ″Om Shanti Om″ is team work, From the director who worked so hard, to the leader actor Shahrukh khan ,and so many professionals in the music, light, decorating to the smallest business in that movie to make it great and big.

film is entertaining as it's a complete masala...but there are some gaps that could have been…  

film is entertaining as it's a complete masala...but there are some gaps that could have been avoided...the film was almost more than 3 hours long and when u leave the theatre you have a feeling that a lot happened quickly...depth was missing from the movie as a whole. But at the same time it's fun and MASALA!!!! 

A movie like OSO gets a 4 star is shocking. On the other hand Saawariya deserves a 4. OSO has…  

A movie like OSO gets a 4 star is shocking. On the other hand Saawariya deserves a 4. OSO has nothing good to talk about except a couple of songs. I wonder what makes the movie such a big hit. It is unfair to compare OSO to the movies of 80's.. The only reason OSO has worked is because of the tremendous publicity and Shahrukh Khan. Its bad for the industry when a good movie like Saawariya which will surely be termed as a classic after 10 years has to suffer because of some stupid movie like OSO
