On the whole, MY NAME IS KHAN is a fascinating love story, has an angle of religion and a world-shaking incident as a backdrop. It not only entertains, but also mesmerises, enthrals and captivates the viewer in those 2.40 hours. At the same time, a film like MY NAME IS KHAN is sure to have a far-reaching influence due to its noble theme. I strongly advocate, don't miss this one!.

The story line was very different and fresh,it was told in a very contempary way and way in which my heart was touched emotionally.Acting- what can i say? Shahrukh's acting was mindblowing and moving, just looking at him made my heart melt for him, i was completely sucked into his world at the start of the film. Kajol was also very good which is not a suprise. The actor playing Kajol and Shahrukhs son was very good, and also all the supporting actors very brilliant. Overall- this film is amazing and touches u emotionally and mentally, do not miss this film at any cost.

My Name is Khan is a movie mainly deals with the condition of muslims in USA after 9/11. Because of the plot and star-cast though there were tantamount amount of expectations from the movie, but it failed miserably. If we talk about direction, Karan Johar could not do any justice to his name in this movie. Direction was boring and as usual(except some of the scenes). The love of SRK towards Kajol was the same we have seen in 1000's of movies. A tom-boyish girl still sad in Mind, dancing with bumps. The only thing Karan brought here was the fact that SRK was autistic. Otherwise same mode of presentation of love had been showed even in his own movies Kaal Ho Naa Ho (song kuch to hua hain). The plot it self was faulty and felix. They tried to serve a lot of food in a single dish. Racism, Love between different Religions and families disapproval, the nature of a great man and so on. The story makes one feel that, this is the life of a hero not an ordinary man. But in such a plot like 9/11 life of an ordinary man would have been projected. Again the lack of knowledge about USA was clearly visible in the movie. In USA racism can happen and indeed taking place everyday but it is not really plausible that, a youngster of 12-13 dies because of racial attack and the authority just shut down the cases on basis of lack of evidence. Again it is not permitted for individuals to go to some hurricane affected places and provide help without such pre-cautions. The second half of the movie was stretched without any reason. Instead of showing him an ordinary person with extra-ordinary dreams, SRK was projected as somewhat super human in the movie. Performance was the movie was OK. SRK had done acting better than this and Kajol could have control her tendency of over-projection. The boy acted as Kjaol's son was good. Music wise MNIK is not bad at all. Shankar-Ehsan-Loy understood the theme and composed music according to the need. Saajda, probably is the most catchy song of the film. Overall I would say, MNIK is a poorly directed, Narrated, Scripted and Performed film. There were some moments; like, death of Kajol's son which was eye-watering and in another scene SRK says to kajol, can we have sex please (which was really sweet); but, altogether it did not get the flavour it should have got. This is a movie a person would watch once and forget about it. I would give this movie 3/5

The chemistry btwn kajol n srk is so amazing.. they jst rock togethr..! but that is it. the script so loose, tht u strt to thnk is it a joke or what? no research, nothing is realitic in this story. if want to make a movie on social issue, get ur facts right. the character of SRK borrows heavily from FORREST GUMP. same single mother, gifted child drama... and the narrative too.. quite similar to it. he is narrating the story while he jots it down to a diary. hurricane sequence deliberately fitted into script, which does no good to the movie n extends it to another half hour. and this kills all the fun. well if SRK is in the movie then movie b8r b abt srk n not the story.. and SRK has done a gr8 job..aftr chak de its his 2nd movie in which he acts.

It might be easy to simplify complex things but it is very difficult to explain simple things, the same case is with My Name Is Khan. It is the most simple, pure & beautiful movie of this era. It is the story of Rizwan Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) who is affected by Asperger syndrome. He is afraid of bright colors, loud noise & strangers and unable to express his feelings. But he understands one thing which his mother taught him, that there are only two kinds of people in the world, Good & Bad, and there is no other difference. This is the story of Rizwan’s journey to bring back his love, which also teaches us that love & peace is the only path to the salvation. Direction, as they say, is the backbone of every movie. Not even for a second I thought that this film is directed by Karan Johar, you cannot resemble this work of his with any other previous blockbusters given by the same director. Karan Johar had proved himself the Jack of all trades. The direction of the movie embraces you, shows the concern & beautifully teaches you the basic moralities of life. Coming to the performances, hats off to the God of acting, Shah Rukh Khan. Whatever I say for him will be of no value. Once again he had proved that he is the best. The command he had over his character was unimaginable. He is truly the genius of our times. You can feel your heart beat changing the rates through his journey & as he says to Vinay Pathak,”My name is Khan and I am not a Terrorist.” Although being disappeared from the industry for a while, Kajol hasn’t lost her touch. She is simply superb. The innocence with which she portrayed the character of Mandira is amazing. Soniya Jehan, Zarina Wahab, Jimmy Shergil & other casting are quite decent & sincere at their places. Shibani Bathija has done a tremendous job. Screenplay of the movies is one of its biggest assets. The way the story unfolds is obviously magnificent. Dialogues of the movie are remarkable; my personal favorite is the one,”wo khushnaseeb hai, wo ro sakta hai”. The art work of Sharmishta Roy is also outstanding. Music & background score of the movie is another brilliant work done by Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy. All over the movie teaches us the toughest thing in a simplest manner that we are greater than our limits, stronger than our fear and we are more than just a name. My name is Deepak Nare and I am not a terrorist.

Outstanding performances, beautiful locations and a dull storyline... that's what the much hyped My Name is Khan all about. All the characters have given a standout performance, Shahrukh undoubtly being the best among the lot as Rizwan Khan.. but the script is too dull to keep the viewer engaged till the end. Also the length of the movie is a minus point.. when the first half ends you wonder the second half must be action packed and engaging... but this never happens in whole movie. The last hour of the movie seems so long that you will start wondering when this will end. The song 'Hum honge kamyab' also irritates at regular intervals. The journey of Rizwan is also far from convincing. It is just to increase the length of the movie. I know that the critics have appreciated this movie a lot and the movie has been given more than 4 stars by most of critics.. but trust me this movie isn't for the 'aam janta'.. only die-hard Shahrukh's fans are gonna love this movie.
