For a film that has been promoted as a 'porn-com', you pretty much know what to expect when it comes to the film as well as its music. Just a few days back it was
evidenced in Mastizaade and one expects pretty much the same flavour from composers Sajid-Wajid and lyricists Danish Sabri & Irfan Kamil for Kya Kool Hain
Hum 3 as well.
It is a rollicking start for the album with 'Jawaani Le Doobi' setting the right tone, especially with Kanika Kapoor doing what she is best at. She gets
the 'masti' element spot on while Uvie is her able companion behind the mike. Together they are clearly letting their hair down in this foot tapping number; though rap
by Ikka turns out to be an unwelcome companion. It just doesn't go with the feel and mood of the song.
Shivranjani Singh does quite well as a singer with 'Oh Boy' and is an absolute livewire behind the mike. Her voice has the right mix of naughtiness and
sensuality as she renders the Hinglish lyrics. Talking of lyrics, the ones written by guest composer Irfan Kamil are totally in line with what one expected from the
film. Meanwhile, Wajid brings himself on board as a singer and does well in this foot tapping outing.
The party mood continues with Sajid-Wajid coming together as singers for 'House Party'. The song has a fast pace to it and reaches its crescendo straight
away without worrying much about the build-up. As was pretty much expected, soon enough there are talks or 'daaru' and 'peena-pilaana', hence immediately entering into
the Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah space. A quick consumption track, it has Shalmali Kholgade chipping in a little late in the day with just a couple of lines.
The title song 'Kya Kool Hain Hum' arrives at the very end of the album and has Shivranjani Singh making an appearance all over again along with Benny
Dayal. A song with a sonic feel to it, this one fits in well into the mood created by rest of the album so far. That said, one would still rate the title song of the
first in the series as the best of the lot.
The music of Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 is on the expected lines with 'Jawaani Le Doobi' and 'Oh Boy' doing well enough to qualify as entries in the DJ
'Jawaani Le Doobi', 'Oh Boy'
