Well the Bhatts always have something new and cheesy to offer in their movies and so is the case with jannat. The story revolves along the realtionship between the lead pair with cricket being the background.Both the actors suit the role to perfection and Emraan is fast approaching the league of the best actors.Sonal is refreshing but needs some polishing of her acting skills especially the crying scene but pulls off the rest of the movie with ease and grace.Music is outstanding and so is the cinematography.The supporting cast is also apt and portray their character well.TO sum up Jannat is a nice experience and lives upto its name.

After reading Taran Adrash's review, I have to admit, I went to watch Jannat with high expectations. After watching the movie however, I walked out with only one conclusion: Clearly, Taran Adrash and I did not watch the same movie. To summarize the review, Jannat was BAD! Filled with cliche dialogues and a horrible soundtrack, I can only describe this as pure hell. The title is a serious oxymoron. The movie was highly unrealistic for one, but the heartbreaking thing about this movie is that it actually did have a lot of potential. Had they delved deeper into the cricket part of the movie, and used that a sort of conduit for the climax, the movie would have been far better. The movie was far too predictable, and after the interval, things only got worse. The female lead was very contradictory in various parts the movie and overall, not impressive. The characters were all shallow and vapid and pure torture to watch. Don't waste your money on this one. The only thing that saved this movie from horrible-film-hell is Emran Hashmi. Honest.

I have been closely following Taran Adarsh's reviews of all the latest movies. And after watching quite some movies based on his reviews, I can very confidently conclude that his reviews are very much biased and inaccurate. The latest movie Jannat is just about average/below average. I just cant imagine how this movie can get a 3.5 star rating. Anyways, the movie is about match fixing and while watching the movie, you always feel that it is missing something.The build up to the climax is good but it flatters to deceive. There are no twist or turns in the story which are such an integral part of any thriller. Everything is just expected. Secondly, Emraan Hashmi..well I have never been a huge fan of this guy and this movie was no different.To me, he does not seem to have the dynamic personality so very much required for these roles. Sonali Chauhan was fair. Supporting cast was just about okay. Overall, a strictly okay movie. Go ahead and watch it, if you dont have anything better to do.
