4.5 Excellent

This is the best Indian film I've seen in a while, one of the best films of the year. Heck, one of the best film of the past 4-5 years of trash being praised. This film puts all those hack directors to shame, even the acclaimed ones. A woman has done a job that no man could. And if anyone was annoyed and laughed at the disastrous preachiness of Delhi 6 with its Hindu-Muslim issues, Nandita Sen will teach you how it should be done and will put a worthless director like Omprakash MEhra and many like him to shame.

This is a brilliant film in all manners, the only one I could think of at the moment that could be compared to the rest of the asian cinema around the world. It's thought provoking, gritty, realistic and hopeful and it's done with connoisseur effort. It doesn't feel like a debut from a veteran actress. But it's also not without flaws and comparisons to Crash will be evident.
