Salman Khan finally collaborates with Yash Raj films ! Ek Tha Tiger is one of the most awaited movie of the year ! You don't need any other reason than Salman Khan to watch Ek Tha Tiger ! the actor is riding high with three blockbusters in a row and surely Ek Tha Tiger would be another addition to the list ! Ek tha tiger has an interesting story about a Raw Agent ( played by Salman Khan) who just lives to fight for his country ! but what happens when he falls in love ? will he fight for his love ? Ek tha tiger has ample doses of romance , action , drama and humour to keep you glued to the screen till the last scene ! however the film is not without its share of flaws ! the screenplay could have been more consistent and also there are several loopholes in the movie ! the first half begins on an exciting note and the never let downs the viewer ! the pre-interval twist is also good ! however the second half suffers from uneven pacing and some really slow sequences ! but the pre-climax action scenes are sure to blow your mind off ! the climax could have been better ! dialogues are good but the regular Salman Khan Dialoguebaazi is missing ! action sequences are a real treat to watch ! the opening action sequence and the pre climax chase and fight scenes are the highpoints of the movie ! editing could have been more crisp ! background score is effective ! music is good ! cinematography is first-rate ! the exotic locales mesmerize your eyes ! also the camera work in the action scenes is commendable ! Kabir Khan delivers a good product ! however i still rank New York as his best film till date ! Salman Khan is magic ! no matter what he does on screen he charms you every time ! also he delivers a quite restricted performance this time without the over the top masala ! he is superb in the action scenes ! it good to see Katrina Kaif kick some ass in the movie ! she delivers a good performance ! her action scenes are a real treat for the eyes ! Girish Karnad is first-rate ! Ranvir Shorey is competent ! Gaivie Chahal is alright ! Roshan Sheth is good ! overall, Ek Tha Tiger is a good entertaining thriller with Salman Khan as its main trump card and also some breathtaking action sequences to keep you engaged till the last frame !

Any reason why those critics would have praise for 'Ek Tha Tiger' is because they were promised a share of its opening success. But just as its box-office smashing opening, it begins on an impressive high in a sequence that is supposedly shot in Iraq with some stunning cinematography. The breathtaking location is supported by a well choreographed action sequence atop roofs of the low structures and bazaar streets. However, once we are introduced to this R.A.W. Agent named 'Tiger', it all starts going downhill from there. Dublin, Havana, Istanbul, London or New Delhi no longer resemble those breathtaking visuals we had seen in Iraq. It's as though the cinematographer and director had changed for the rest of the movie. The action starts looking amateurish and the R.A.W. Agent loses his credibility of being an agent at all. With its non-existent story-telling, weak direction and Salman's stiff, expression-less portrayal, one loses respect for 'Ek Tha Tiger' and rather appreciates several aspects of its predecessor of R.A.W. Reference, 'Agent Vinod'. After he is done showing off his macho physique in the Delhi neighbourhood upon his return from Iraq, Tiger is keen on jumping to his next assignment that takes him to Dublin, on the trail of a professor (Roshan Seth) who is reluctant to meet anyone but his own dog. Tiger meets Zoya (Katrina Kaif), who introduces him to the professor, he falls for her, digresses from his mission completely, sings a song or two and is then shocked to find out Zoya's true identity who is actually.... wait for it..... an I.S.I. Agent!! Kabir Khan plays 'New York's surprise story once again while Tiger gets all gloomy back in New Delhi. His next mission takes him to Istanbul where he decides to elope with Zoya, right under the noses of R.A.W. And I.S.I's officials. Then, by switching identities and putting up incredulous disguises that makes Salman look like Suryavanshi all over again, they escape to Cuba where they stupidly pose in action in front of the camera for the world to see. Once again, they're on the run in undisclosed locations and false identities. R.A.W.'s chief, (Girish Karnad) thus concludes the theme of the movie – Ek Tha Tiger. If this was lame to read through, you have no idea how it is to sit through the film when the action simply becomes laughable with conspicuous body doubles doing all the work for our senior citizen Tiger. These sequences also involve him jumping from an airborne motorcycle into the open door of an already flying airplane in a choppy CGI shot. Rajnikant's jaw must've dropped as well. Kabir Khan never had it right after the opening sequence. If this is the story that Aditya Chopra comes up with, then it's time he hands over all creativity back to his father. The plot has no complexity whatsoever and Tiger's weakness as a dedicated R.A.W. Agent simply dampens the already struggling plot. Compare all this to Shriram Raghavan's slick 'Agent Vinod' - The plot was convoluted for being a spy thriller, the romance never became too serious and it never digressed the film's focus which revolved around the agent's mission. The action was more credible and so was Saif's portrayal as a secret agent. 'Ek Tha Tiger' makes 'Agent Vinod' look like it was made under the MGM banner with Martin Campbell directing it. Katrina Kaif does well in her role as an I.S.I. Agent. Although, she looks too beautiful to be taken seriously as one. In the Mashallah song, Katrina looks like a gift from the Gods to mankind. Salman Khan looks much older than ShahRukh Khan did in Ra.One and his physique is perhaps so bulky that his movements are even more restricted. For a simple jump from the first storey, he needs a body double. His movement in action and dance is just so stiff that it robs the essence of the character he is playing. To the extent that agent Tiger is too Salman-ish rather than the other way round. Yet, he has done his best in portraying a character that wasn't even well written to begin with. Ranvir Shorey is the most fun to watch though. His performance is brilliant as Tiger's support and he brings the humor as well as the seriousness in the film. Girish Karnad seems a bit extreme as the chief of R.A.W. while he devours Tiger's special Daal and sulks about his lost love. But we'll take that since we haven't seen him in a while. Sohail Sen's music will be remembered for the arabic tune of Masha-allah and for Mohit Chauhan's melodious singing in Saiyaara to some fine tunes. Director Kabir Khan has reportedly used Salman's advice while filming 'Ek Tha Tiger' and certainly that did not help his cause. While he had the potential to create something superlative with such a cast and the promise of the opening sequence, he washed it all down with the ridiculous action sequences that followed, the frivolous plot-line and poorly written characters. It seems like anything goes for success these days and 'Ek Tha Tiger' is a shining example that audiences can decide the fate of any film. With its ginormous collections already, there is no need to contribute more to its makers' wallets. You can wait a while and watch it on Zee or Doordarshan.... - 5.55 on a scale of 1-10.

Salman Khan has really made a comeback after the success of Wanted, Dabangg and Bodyguard. His movies are always memorable to watch with out a problem. Even his movies like Ready and Veer which didn't release on Eid were pretty big successes and they are also memorable to watch. The question is does Ek Tha Tiger meet the same expectations as his previous releases? No. Ek Tha Tiger goes beyond the expectations that his previous films had before it. The movie even takes a number one seat in one of the best Bollywood Movies made in 2012 along with taking the throne as one of the best bollywood movies ever made in india cinma. Salman Khan yet again does what he does best, but this time as Tiger he goes completely off the charts. Katrina Kaif does a fantastic job as Zoya, and her chemistry with Salman Khan after Yuvraaj couldn't have been more heartwarming then it already was in the movie, and her character had a purpose in film, and wasn't just there for eyecandy. The other actors also did a great job. Director Kabir Khan does a great job giving us a great movie to connect to.

For last couple of years Salman has reached a stage of pinnacle in his career, thanks to his triple mega blockbusters. But as we all know most of his critics (including me) didn’t like his Ready and Bodyguard fairing the way they did, as it was just megalomania or shall I say Sal-mania and nothing else for them ending up being such huge hits. Before 2009 (Wanted) he was just another Khan, but post 09 he has even raced ahead of Sharukh’s charming persona. Here in this background releases ETT on eve of Ramzan (again)! ETT starts with a voice over and a literally smoking intro sequence for RAW agent Salman followed by astounding action sequence on the streets of Zakho, Iraq in chapter 1, best part is all this has been shown in the trailer, so hopefully I thought we’re in for a treat. But alas that’s not the case, as the story goes to next chapter Dublin to find a stunning Kaif aka ISI agent. As expected the inevitable happens in a tedious mundane way and the twist doesn’t surprise a single soul in the hall. Nevertheless post interval chapter 3, Istanbul stagnates the proceedings further only to pick up momentum in final chapter Havana, Cuba. It is here where some true action happens in the story as well as in climax and as always all is well that ends well. And also not to forget piece of advice let us have love and peace with neighborhood countries. Well first about Salman he sleepwalks his role with ease, his uber cool attitude and flamboyance is hard not to admire. Why I say so is because he still has very few expressions on his face, in my terms we call it ‘restricted affect’ :) Kaif does pretty well again, is faring better with each release, looks stunning as ever, her character for a change has some substance and she handles it with aplomb but even this has been cleverly modified to suit her average skills, looked she enjoys poking fun at our Kaddu:) It was surprising to find Roshan Abbas in the proceedings in an unthankful role. While Ranveer Shorey is decent, Karnad Sir is again in an unthankful role! In the technical dept the action sequences are brilliantly done by a Hollywood action director. Barring the train sequence rest of the chases and stunts are excellent. It was nice to see Kat having a go at the baddies with ease. But contrary to what has been said in the interviews, most of stunts are body doubles and can be made out easily. As already mentioned it is a simple two line story adapted cleverly for the 2 hour screenplay. Editing and cinematography score the most adding the value of the end product. Music is not up to the mark, the best song has been put up at the end along with the end titles, MashAllah! Kabir Khan at the helm of affairs does a decent job in cleverly handling the average script and successfully sees to it that the focus is always on Salman so that the lacunae won’t be noticed and to a larger extent he succeeds as there was not a Sallu scene without whistles. On a whole it is an average entertainer, but the stylishly picturised action and suave Salman playing the role for a change are far better than his last 3 outings which were a complete no brainer, I go with an extra half for him and rate it 3/5 !

EK THA TIGER (Movie Review) ONE LINER: Tiger, Tiger, Tiger!! EXPECTATIONS: Well First time SALMAN…
EK THA TIGER (Movie Review) ONE LINER: Tiger, Tiger, Tiger!! EXPECTATIONS: Well First time SALMAN KHAN working with YRF and the director is also KABIR KHAN And also again paired with KATRINA KAIF after long time and their chemistry.. So Expectations were awesomely high and the hype of the movie was as it will shatter all the records.. VIEWS: 1. Firstly the movie comes full to the hype and expectations. History is being created with each single day.. The new combination has worked tremendously.. 2. One of best cinematographed Film.. The locations are just awesome in the movie. Whether it is Iraq's border, or Turkey or Ireland or Cuba..All are very well picturized and filmed. You will love all the locations individualy.. 3. It's not typical Salman Khan movie as DABANGG, WANTED style.. Here there is logic too.. And Story too.. 4. It's a beautiful LOVE STORY with ACTION with it. It's Not a complete action Movie. 5. The action of ETT is the best action ever attempted in a Bollywood movie.. It is not larger than life action.. Hollywood style.. 6. Start And Climax of the movie is Brilliant with action. First half is About love story .. And Second Is Fighting for LOVE.. Both Halves are tremendous .Still Second half is more Superb. Kindly see it is as a love story having action not see it is as a action having love story then u'll understand the logic of first half. 7. The is not a single moment where the pace drops or speed lackens.. 8. Overall it's a great Love story with full top notch action, comedy, suspence and all what a total ENTERTAINER should have.. 9. It's not an anti-Pakistani movie at all. Only ISI name is used but for that RAW name is equally used.. RAW name is Used even more than ISI in a negative manner.. If still anyone finds it anti Pakistani still it less anti Pakistani than VEER ZAARA.. So u can guess what extent it is.. CAN BE SAID THAT IT IS MOVIE ABOUT PEACE.. CLEAR INDICATIONS ABOUT THAT.. CANT GIVE DETAIL OF THAT AS IT WOULD BECOME SPOILERS.. 10. Due to use of name of ISI the movie is not released in PAKISTAN.. not because it's anti-PAKISTANI. It should have been released. But if not released so we cant rub our Censor Board as if it would have been a Pakistani movie so India would also not had allowed it in India.. STORY
