Dil Bole Hadippa is a good time pass and a film that can be watched with the entire family. It is a one time watch for sure. Rani Mukerji has performed really well (her sardarji act as Veer is very convincing) and her filmfare best actress nomination is for sure. Shahid too done a brilliant job and after Kaminey and DBH,he has certainly reached in the best slot of actors.
However, the film has its flaws. The screenplay could have been much better and there are too many songs, specially the songs after interval comes as interruption. The final speech by Rani at the end has an excellent message however, sounds very preachy and should have been handled more strongly.
Kudos to Shahid for doing this film where the heroine is the protagonist. I Dont agree with the statement gievn the review that says,'Shahid has done a second fiddle to Rani and its surprising". C'mon, its because of this attitude that we have less good heroines oriented films. Heroine oriented film hai toh naya hero lelo ya not very successful hero lelo.
Its a myth that heroines oriented films doesn't work in India. The point is how many Legally Blondes or Devil Wears Pradas or Million Dollar Babys or Erin Brockovichs have been made here?
