3.5 Very Good

In bollywood we have seen very limited amount of the whole slick and stylish movies. That why alot of people in India prefer watching Hollywood movies then Bollywood. We seen alot of fake stunts in bollywood when they try the whole hollywood thing

Yes, Dhoom 2 does hold all the aspects of people watching a bollywood movie over a hollywodd movie. We actually witness a wise stylish bollywood movie that we can compare to hollywood. We also witness foot-tapping music, a outstanding cast and yes, its a sequel with a '2' attached to it, so ofcourse its different.

Ali's (Uday Chopra) dream of becoming a police officer has come true. He is now ACP Jai Dixit's (Abhishek Bachchan) 'right hand man'. Together, they are trying to keep a tight leash on the crime in India. Little do they know what they are going to be up against. Enter Aryan - Mr. A (Hrithik Roshan) - A hi-tech international thief. After pulling off a series of impossible heists all over the world, his next target is Mumbai, India. The case is given to ACP Jai and Ali. Helping them put the pieces of the puzzle together is ACP Shonali Bose (Bipasha Basu), Jai's college mate, now a police officer in her own right. For the last two years Shonali has been tracking these amazing thefts and is now an expert on this thief, who no one has seen. Once in Mumbai, Mr. A finds his match in Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai), a petty yet clever thief. She makes him an offer he finds very hard to refuse. A partnership! Aryan accepts. And so the game begins - a game of cat and mouse - a game of good v/s bad. The "COPS" - Jai, Shonali and Ali; and they are after Aryan and Sunehri - "The ROBBERS". From the desert of Namibia to the backwaters of Goa, the mean streets of Mumbai and the ancient forts of Rajasthan, and finally to "Wild n Exotic" Rio, Brazil. Does ACP Jai Dixit manage to nab Mr. A? Or does Mr. A prove to be too much for him?

Loosely Based on HEAT(1995). There are a lot of unanswered questions in D:2, like:
•What happened to Abhishek's glasses, which he refused to wear contacts?
•What Happened to Esha Deol, the one that ditched John for Uday??

Post- interval the movie falls, not a lot but abit. The expectations after a great first half rise, but fall. The several tracks going on intend to lose track in the second half, but some tracks succeed. The tracs in the second half take there own way, like:
•The Hrithik-Ash love story
•The Bipasha-Uday love story (gets no progress)
•The robberies by Mr.A, getting chased by Jai Dixit

Yes, there are always good sequences in a Yashraj movie, there are only a few limited sequences that bring the house down like:
•The revolver scene when Hrithik finds out about Ash
•The robbery in the museum
•The first meeting of Ash-Hrithik
•When Abishek knows who Hrithik is at the party

Pritam's music is weak. His last few movies have been have been great, but not this one. There are a few great songs like 'Crazy Kiya Re'and 'Touch Me'. These seem to be the only that impress

First Gabbar, Then Mogambo and now Mr.A. Hrithik was proberly the only that could done Mr.A. The look of this new villain is different, a new type of villain. His different Avtars are great like:
•The cleaner
•the roman statue
•the clown at the circus
•the geek
•the queen
•the dwaft
•the basketball jockey
•the coin collector

Sanjay Gadhvi succeeds in his fourth film after Dhoom. But he could of done a more powerful script. The stunts are well done, Sanjay delivers glamour to the movie but did not put much power

Hrithik Roshan in 2006 is a new turning point. His comeback in Krrish was outstanding, now D:2 in the same year he delivers a even powerful performance then ever. This is got to be his best performance ever. Only he could of done Mr.A, he gets in to the character so well that when we see, are we seeing a hero or a villain? we're seeing a star. In the beginning the talented actor gives it his best in 'Dhoom Again', proberly his best song he's done in a long time.He shares a good chemisty with Ash and Abhishek.

Ash is average in the first half but is good in the second. She proves shes better than a serious actor. Abhishek does a good job as the super cop, but does not stand to Hrithik. Uday goes over the top. Bipasha gets no scope.

•On the whole D:2,is glamour, style and slick but misses a good second half. Without doubt the audience will watch it. The only saving graces of D:2 is Hrithik, The stunts, its a sequel to Dhoom, its a Yashraj film and a good first half.
