I was dissapointed at Ken Ghosh's attempt at "Chance pe Dance". It was a wonderful idea, to portray a struggling actor, but the way the film progresses doesnt make sense. This movie is about a up and coming young actor, Sameer Behl (Shahid Kapoor) who is trying to get his big break. He meets Tina (Genelia D'Souza)a choreographer, who turns out to be his support system. The trials that Sameer goes through, on his way to stardom is the evolving plot and the obvious notion that you get one "Chance to Dance". The storyline is very jumpy and badly written, and evidently lead to some scenes looking odd and just fake. There is nothing new or fresh about the plot, so the audience is not challenged in guessing everything works out in the end. Shahid's acting skills has drastically improved, and he is natural and sincere. Geneliad's character was nothing special, but with most bollywood films a love interest is required. The main highlight of the this movie was probably the dancing by Shahid Kapoor. I found it torturous at times, sitting through the movie, but when "Pump it Up" came on, it was all worth it. Shahid's 8 pack is definitely something to watch Overall, eyecandy is not enough to pull a movie through and make it a blockbuster. A good script, a good plot, and a good flow to the movie is needed, which Chance pe Dance didnt have. Hugely dissapointing.

I must confess that I am a Shahid fan but I was heading to this movie thanks to my dad, who insisted we go watch the movie to get me out of my bad mood. It's not that I didn't want to see CPD, but the lack of attention-grabbing promos and poor reviews made me not want to see Shahid's latest disappoint me. However, sometimes lack of expectations can be good. CPD isn't a great movie but it isn't bad. As a matter of fact, compared to the majority of trash churned out by Bollywood, it is actually entertaining. The film has a bit of everything: romance, emotion, comedy, and dance of course. Unfortunately, none of these aspects are truly mind-blowing, and thus the movie remains average. The story is simple and takes the usual twists and turns. Shahid's dance moves are fabulous and you keep wishing there was more. If he ever does a true musical (ie Dil To Pagal Hai), the cash registers won't stop ringing. Perhaps the biggest drawback of this movie is the lack of hit musical score. A dance movie needs a superhit soundtrack before the release. It's not like the songs are bad but we are lacking a "Dhan te nan" or "Mauja hi Mauja." The theater audience comprised of 80% women with the majority being under 25s. Thanks to Shahid's fan following it should be an average grosser but I am still waiting for an amazing Shahid movie to follow Jab We Met and Kaminey.

Outdated script, forget realism, no linearity, no coherence, some pathetic actng by shahid kapoor, screechy genelia who tries so hard who could get her south indian dubbers cause her delivery is so irritating its like scratching your nails on a chalkboard.

Ken Ghosh! As simple as that! The guy who gave us films like 'Ishq Vishk' & 'Fida' needs no intro. His latest flick 'Chance Pe Dance' is a horror... hurray Ken Ghosh completes his trilogy of flops! I spent 400 rupess {I took 3 friends along, who are right now hatein me} on this 'Nightmare Of Elm Street', Ghosh can u atleast give me my re-fund? Please, apni audience ke liye itna toh karo? 'Chance Pe Dance' ko mat dekhna, please! Box Office is ready to witness a sequel to 'Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag'! Hurray.... Bollywood should kick-out filmmakers like Ken Ghosh right now!

The movie was very good ! It had all elements right from the goody-goody moments to the emotional ones. As the title says "CHANCE PE DANCE"..its actually about it..! The dance is the best part of the movie which is beautifully done by SHAHID KAPOOR and its all about utilizing the chances you get in life as well as not to lose hope. In all it was a nice movie and can be seen by any level of individuals. SUPERB WORK DONE BY THE ACTORS !
