Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis lauds Chhaava, praises Vicky Kaushal’s performance

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently attended a special screening of Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal. The screening was organised in Mumbai for MLAs and MLCs by Co-Minister Aditi Tatkare. Following the screening, Fadnavis spoke to the media, applauding the film's portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and highlighting how historical narratives had often been unjust to him.

Fadnavis Applauds the Film’s Storytelling and Message

 

Calling Chhaava a well-made film, Fadnavis said, “Bahot sundar movie banayi gayi hai. Hamari sanyogi mantri Aditi Tatkare, inn hone aaj yeh screening rakhi hai saare MLAs aur MLCs ke liye.” He expressed appreciation for the filmmakers for shedding light on Sambhaji Maharaj’s bravery and intellect. He added, “Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ke upar itihas likhne walo ne bahot anyaay kiya, lekin iss cinema ke maadhyam se unki veerta, shaurya, chaturya, budhimakta, gyaan, yeh saare unke jeevan ke pehlo yeh janta ke saamne aarahe hai.”

Fadnavis also spoke about how Chhaava captures Sambhaji Maharaj’s relentless fight to uphold Swarajya after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He remarked, “Jis prakar se Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ke baad lagatar Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ne Swarajya ka rakshan kiya, dev, desh aur dharam ka rakshan kiya, yeh saari chize iske maadhyam se logo ke saamne aarahi hai.” He congratulated the entire team behind the film for bringing this chapter of history to the audience.

 

 

 

Chhaava has been performing well at the box office, with Vicky Kaushal’s portrayal of Sambhaji Maharaj receiving widespread acclaim. The film’s historical accuracy and storytelling have struck a chord with audiences.
