Khakee: The Bihar Chapter Teaser: Karan Tacker and Avinash Tiwary are at loggerheads in Neeraj Pandey’s Netflix series

Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey brings his unique storytelling to this quintessential battle between good and evil, taking audiences on a journey of how one can’t exist without the other. Titled Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, the upcoming series sees the face-off between two characters, played by Karan Tacker and Avinash Tiwary, respectively.

The teaser was unveiled on Friday by Neeraj Pandey as he wrote, “Presenting the teaser of Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. Labour of love, sweat and tears led by our director Bhav Dhulia. Like always, looking forward to your encouragement and blessings.”

 

 

 

Speaking about his upcoming series, Neeraj Pandey previously said, “As an admirer of the platform which stands for such diversity in content and formats, I am elated to announce Friday Storytellers's Partnership with Netflix with our upcoming series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. This cop and crime thriller, set in the early 2000s, from the heartland of Bihar is a big story which we have been wanting to create and share for some time, and through the directorial lens of Bhav Dhulia and the production expertise of my partner Shital Bhatia, we have endeavoured to bring the flavour alive with the tonality and treatment. Shot in extreme trying circumstances at Jharkhand and Bihar across multiple Covid waves, it boasts of a talented ensemble depicting strong characters which we hope will resonate with the local and the global Netflix audiences”

 

The logline reads, “At a time when ordinary people swore their allegiance to criminals more than the police, Amit Lodha, an upstanding IPS officer set out to take down a devious ganglord - an epic clash between two rivals.”

 

The series stars Karan Tacker, and Avinash Tiwary in the lead roles along with Ashutosh Rana, Jatin Sarna, Nikita Dutta, Ravi Kishan, Abhimanyu Singh, Anup Soni, Aishwarya Sushmita, Shraddha Das, and Vinay Pathak.

 

Adapted from the bestselling novel ‘Bihar Diaries: The True Story of How Bihar's Most Dangerous Criminal Was Caught’ By Amit Lodha, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter is a character drama created by Neeraj Pandey and will debut on Netflix on November 25, 2022.  Produced by Friday Filmworks and directed by Bhav Dhulia, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter captures the rise and journey of the two men on opposite sides of the law.
